حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ مَرَّ بِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ أَرْعَى غَنَمًا لِعُقْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُعَيْطٍ وَذَكَرَ كَلَامًا ثُمَّ قَالَ وَمَسَحَ رَأْسِي وَقَالَ أَنْتَ غُلَامٌ مُعَلَّمٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ أَرْعَى غَنَمًا لِعُقْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُعَيْطٍ وَذَكَرَ كَلَامًا ثُمَّ قَالَ وَمَسَحَ رَأْسِي وَقَالَ أَنْتَ غُلَامٌ مُعَلَّمٌ
English Translation
Khalid ibn Yusuf narrated to us, he said: Abu Awanah narrated to us, from Asim, from Zirr, from Abdullah, who said: The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) passed by me while I was a boy tending sheep for Uqbah ibn Abi Mu'ayt. He mentioned some words, then said — and he rubbed my head and said: «You are a well-taught boy.»
