وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ أنبأ أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ ثنا سَعِيدٌ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ {وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ} [آل عمران 97] أَنَّ مَنْ حَجَّ لَمْ يَرَهُ بِرًّا وَمَنْ تَرَكَهُ لَمْ يَرَهُ إِثْمًا وَرُوِّينَا عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ عِكْرِمَةُ
English Translation
Mujahid said regarding the verse: 'And whoever disbelieves, then indeed Allah is free from need of the worlds' [3:97] — whoever performs Hajj but does not consider it righteousness, and whoever abandons it does not consider it a sin. And we have narrated from Mujahid the same as what 'Ikrimah said.
