أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مِلْحَانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ قَالَ هَشَشْتُ يَوْمًا فَقَبَّلْتُ وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ صَنَعْتُ الْيَوْمَ أَمْرًا عَظِيمًا قَبَّلْتُ وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ تَمَضْمَضْتَ بِالْمَاءِ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌ فَقُلْتُ لَا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَفِيمَ
English Translation
'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'I became excited one day and kissed while I was fasting. I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: I have done something terrible today — I kissed while fasting. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: What would you think if you rinsed your mouth with water while fasting? I said: There is no harm in that. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Then why worry?'
