وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَتْ عَلَيْهِ نَفَقَتُكَ فَأَطْعِمْ عَنْهُ نِصْفَ صَاعٍ مِنْ بُرٍّ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ وَهَذَا مَوْقُوفٌ وَعَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى غَيْرُ قَوِيٍّ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ إِذَا انْضَمَّ إِلَى مَا قَبْلَهُ قَوِيًّا فِيمَا اجْتَمَعَا فِيهِ
English Translation
And Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Sulami informed us... from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: 'Whoever is under your financial responsibility, give on his behalf half a sa' of wheat or a sa' of dates.' This is a mawquf (stopped at the Companion) narration, and Abd al-A'la is not strong. However, when combined with the previous narration, they strengthen each other in what they agree upon.
