أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ عَاصِمِ ابْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَرَأَيْتُ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺمِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجِنَازَةِ
English Translation
Ziyad ibn Qays al-Ash'ari said: 'I came to Madinah and saw the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) — both the Muhajirun and the Ansar — walking in front of the funeral procession.'
