أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو وَغَيْرُهُمَا قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أنبأ سُلَيْمَانُ عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَكَنٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ فَتَحْمِلُ الْمَاءَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ؛ فَتَمُرَّ فِي السَّحَابِ حَتَّى تَدُرَّ كَمَا تَدُرَّ اللِّقْحَةُ ثُمَّ تُمْطِرُ
English Translation
Abu Zakariyya ibn Abi Ishaq and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr and others narrated to us... from al-Shafi'i, from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad, from Sulayman, from al-Minhal ibn Amr, from Qays ibn Sakan, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud who said: 'Indeed, Allah, Glorified and Exalted, sends the winds and they carry water from the sky, then pass through the clouds until they flow like a she-camel giving milk, then it rains.'
