أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُزَكِّي قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى ابْنِ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَكَ ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ وَيُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبَّادُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ الْمَازِنِيُّ ��َنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَمَّهُ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا يَسْتَسْقِي فَحَوَّلَ إِلَى النَّاسِ ظَهْرَهَ يَدْعُو اللهَ وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ فَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ فِي الْحَدِيثِ وَقَرَأَ فِيهِمَا قَالَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ يُرِيدُ الْجَهْرَ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and others narrated to us... from Abbad ibn Tamim al-Mazini, that he heard his uncle, who was one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), say: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out one day seeking rain. He turned his back to the people, supplicating Allah, and faced the qiblah. He reversed his cloak, then prayed two units. Ibn Abi Dhi'b said in the hadith: And he recited in them. Ibn Wahb said: He means aloud.
