وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ أنبأ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْبَةَ أَنَّهُ رَأَى بِشْرَ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ انْظُرُوا إِلَى هَذَا قَالَ وَشَتَمَهُ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَا يَزِيدُ عَلَى هَذَا وَأَشَارَ بِأُصْبُعِهِ السَّبَابَةِ
English Translation
Abu al-Hasan 'Ali ibn Muhammad al-Muqri' informed us... from Shu'bah, from Husayn ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from 'Umarah ibn Ruwayba who saw Bishr ibn Marwan on Friday raising his hands in supplication while he was on the minbar. He said: 'Look at this one!' and he criticized him. 'I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and he would do no more than this' - and he pointed with his index finger.
