أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحِ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ أنبأ جَدِّي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْقَاضِي ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا حَامِدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْبَكْرَاوِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُلُّ خُطْبَةٍ لَيْسَ فِيهَا شَهَادَةٌ كَالْيَدِ الْجَذْمَاءِ
English Translation
Abu Salih ibn Abi Tahir informed us... from his grandfather Yahya ibn Mansur the judge... from Ahmad ibn Salamah... from Hamid ibn 'Umar al-Bakrawi... from 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad, from 'Asim ibn Kulayb, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah who said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Every sermon that does not contain the shahada (testimony of faith) is like a severed hand (i.e., incomplete and lacking blessing).'
