أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَلَوِيُّ أنبا أَبُو حَامِدِ بْنُ الشَّرْقِيِّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الذُّهْلِيُّ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرٍ وَأَبُو الْأَزْهَرِ قَالُوا ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ خُطْبَتَيْنِ بَيْنَهُمَا جِلْسَةٌ
English Translation
Abu 'Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from 'Ali ibn Hamshadh... from Jabir ibn 'Abdullah who said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) would teach his companions al-Istikhara (the guidance-seeking prayer) in all matters, just as he would teach them a surah from the Qur'an.'
