وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ السُّكَّرِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ التَّرْقُفِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ أَبُوهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ قَالَ كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْجُمُعَةَ ثُمَّ نَنْصَرِفُ وَلَيْسَ لِلْحِيطَانِ ظِلٌّ يُسْتَظَلُّ بِهِ
English Translation
Abu 'Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from 'Ali ibn Hamshadh... from 'Ali ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz, from Abu 'Ubayd, from Hajjaj, from Shu'bah, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Whoever performs wudu on Friday has done well, and whoever performs ghusl, then ghusl is better.'
