أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمُرَادِيُّ ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ أَنَّهُ اسْتَفْتَى أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ فِي الثَّوْبِ يُجَامِعُ فِيهِ الرَّجُلُ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ إِنْ أَصَابَهُ شَيْءٌ رَأَيْتَهُ ثُمَّ الْتَبَسَ عَلَيْكَ فَاغْسِلِ الثَّوْبَ كُلَّهُ وَإِنْ شَكَكْتَ فِ�� شَيْءٍ لَمْ تَسْتَيْقِنْهُ فَانْضَحِ الثَّوْبَ ثُمَّ صَلِّ فِيهِ وَرُوِّينَا عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ إِنْ عَرَفْتَ مَكَانَهُ فَاغْسِلْهُ وَإِلَّا فَاغْسِلِ الثَّوْبَ كُلَّهُ أَنَّهُ اسْتَفْتَى أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ فِي الثَّوْبِ يُجَامِعُ فِيهِ الرَّجُلُ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ إِنْ أَصَابَهُ شَيْءٌ رَأَيْتَهُ ثُمَّ الْتَبَسَ عَلَيْكَ فَاغْسِلِ الثَّوْبَ كُلَّهُ وَإِنْ شَكَكْتَ فِي شَيْءٍ لَمْ تَسْتَيْقِنْهُ فَانْضَحِ الثَّوْبَ ثُمَّ صَلِّ فِيهِ وَرُوِّينَا عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ إِنْ عَرَفْتَ مَكَانَهُ فَاغْسِلْهُ وَإِلَّا فَاغْسِلِ الثَّوْبَ كُلَّهُ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, from al-Rabi' ibn Sulayman al-Muradi, from Ayyub ibn Suwayd, from Yunus, from al-Zuhri, from Talhah ibn Abdullah ibn Awf, that he asked Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) about a garment in which a man has intercourse. Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "If something got on it that you saw, then it became unclear to you, wash the entire garment. But if you are uncertain about something you are not sure of, sprinkle the garment and then pray in it." It was narrated to us from Nafi' who said: Ibn Umar used to say: "If you know the spot, wash it; otherwise, wash the entire garment."
