وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ فِي كِتَابِ الْمُسْتَدْرَكِ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ إِمْلَاءً ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ بِمِصْرَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ؓ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ص وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ السَّجْدَةَ نَزَلَ فَسَجَدَ وَسَجَدَ النَّاسُ مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمًا آخَرَ قَرَأَهَا فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ السَّجْدَةَ تَهَيَّأَ النَّاسُ لِلسُّجُودِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّمَا هِيَ تَوْبَةُ نَبِيٍّ وَلَكِنْ رَأَيْتُكُمْ تَهَيَّأْتُمْ لِلسُّجُودِ فَنَزَلَ فَسَجَدَ وَسَجَدُوا هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنُ الْإِسْنَادِ صَحِيحٌ
English Translation
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) recited Surah Sad while on the pulpit. When he reached the prostration verse, he came down and prostrated, and the people prostrated with him. On another day, he recited it, and when he reached the prostration verse, the people prepared to prostrate. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: It is only the repentance of a prophet, but I saw that you prepared to prostrate, so he came down and prostrated, and they prostrated. This hadith has a good, authentic chain.
