وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ثنا جَابِرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْفَجْرَ بِمِنًى فَانْحَرَفَ فَأَبْصَرَ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ وَرَاءِ النَّاسِ فَدَعَا بِهِمَا فَجِيءَ بِهِمَا تَرْعَدُ فَرَائِصُهُمَا فَقَالَ مَا مَنَعَكُمَا أَنْ تُصَلِّيَا مَعَ النَّاسِ؟ قَالَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّيْنَا فِي الرَّحْلِ قَالَ لَا تَفْعَلُوا إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فِي رَحْلِهِ ثُمَّ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ فَلْيُصَلِّهَا مَعَ الْإِمَامِ فَإِنَّهَا لَهُ نَافِلَةٌ هَكَذَا
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr informed us, they said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Usayd ibn Asim narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn Hafs narrated to us from Sufyan. He said: Ya'la ibn Ata informed me, Jabir ibn Yazid ibn al-Aswad al-Khuza'i narrated to us from his father who said: We prayed the Fajr with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) at Mina. He turned around and saw two men behind the people. He called for them, and they were brought trembling. He said: 'What prevented you from praying with the people?' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we prayed in our camps.' He said: 'Do not do that. If one of you has prayed in his camp and then catches the prayer with the imam, let him pray it with the imam, for it will be a voluntary prayer for him.' Likewise...
