أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى ابْنِ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَكَ دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُصَلِّ إِلَى سُتْرَةٍ وَلْيَدْنُ مِنْ سُتَرْتِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَمُرُّ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهَا قَالَ الشَّيْخُ قَدْ أَقَامَ إِسْنَادَهُ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ وَهُوَ حَافِظٌ حُجَّةٌ
English Translation
Abu Zakariyya ibn Abi Ishaq and Abu Bakr ibn al-Hasan informed us, they said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Bahr ibn Nasr narrated to us. He said: It was read to Ibn Wahb: Dawud ibn Qays al-Madani informed you that Nafi' ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'When one of you prays, let him pray facing a sutrah and draw close to it, for the Shaytan passes between him and it.' The Shaykh said: Sufyan ibn Uyaynah established its chain, and he is a reliable authority.
