أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رَجَعَ الْقُرْآنُ إِلَى الْغَسْلِ وَقَرَأَ {وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ} [المائدة 6] بِنَصْبِهَا
English Translation
Ali said: 'The eyes are the drawstring of the anus. Whoever sleeps should perform ablution.' Meaning that when the eyes sleep, the anus may relax and release wind unknowingly.
