أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ صَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فِي أَثَرِ سَمَاءٍ كَانَتْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ؟ قَالُوا اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ قَالَ أَصْبَحَ مِنْ عِبَادِي مُؤْمِنٌ بِي وَكَافِرٌ فَأَمَّا مَنْ قَالَ مُطِرْنَا بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَرَحْمَتِهِ فَذَلِكَ مُؤْمِنٌ بِي وَكَافِرٌ بِالْكَوْكَبِ وَأَمَّا مَنْ قَالَ مُطِرْنَا بِنَوْءِ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَذَلِكَ كَافِرٌ بِي وَمُؤْمِنٌ بِالْكَوْكَبِ
English Translation
Abu Hurairah narrated: "The poor emigrants came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'The wealthy have gone ahead with the highest degrees and lasting bliss.' He said: 'What is that?' They said: 'They pray as we pray, they fast as we fast, but they give charity and we cannot, and they free slaves and we cannot.' He said: 'Shall I not teach you something by which you will catch up with those who are ahead of you? Say SubhanAllah, al-Hamdulillah, and Allahu Akbar thirty-three times each after every prayer.'"
