أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ التَّاجِرُ بِالرِّيِّ أنبأ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى أنبأ إِسْحَاقُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيجٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَهُوَ إِمَامُ النَّاسِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ يَقُولُ سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ اللهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ يَرْفَعُ بِذَلِكَ صَوْتَهُ وَنُتَابِعُهُ مَعًا
English Translation
Aishah narrated that during the Prophet's final illness, he came out and found Abu Bakr leading the people in prayer. Abu Bakr stepped back, but the Prophet gestured for him to remain. The Prophet sat beside Abu Bakr. Abu Bakr was following the Prophet's prayer, and the people were following Abu Bakr's prayer.
