English Translation
Abu Qatadah narrated the long hadith about sleeping past Fajr: "We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) on a journey. He said: 'Watch over us for the dawn prayer.' Bilal watched but then sleep overcame him. They slept until the sun had risen. The Prophet said: 'Move away from this place.' They moved, and he ordered Bilal to call the adhan, then he prayed two rak'ahs (Sunnah), then the Fajr prayer."
