أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ وَغَيْرُهُمْ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ فَأْرَةٍ وَقَعَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ فَقَالَ أَلْقُوهَا وَمَا حَوْلَهَا وَكُلُوا مَا بَقِيَ فَقَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ ��للهِ أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ السَّمْنُ مَائِعًا؟ قَالَ انْتَفِعُوا بِهِ وَلَا تَأْكُلُوهُ عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ عُمَرَ غَيْرُ مُحْتَجٍّ بِهِ وَرُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ هَكَذَا وَالطَّرِيقُ إِلَيْهِ غَيْرُ قَوِيٍّ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz, Abu Zakariyya ibn Abi Ishaq, Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn al-Hasan and others informed us; they said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub reported to us: Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abd al-Hakam reported to us: Ibn Wahb reported to us: Abd al-Jabbar ibn Umar informed me, from Ibn Shihab, from Salim ibn Abdullah ibn Umar, from his father (may Allah be pleased with them), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about a mouse that fell into ghee, and he said: "Throw it out and what is around it, and eat what remains." They said: "O Prophet of Allah, what do you think if the ghee is liquid?" He said: "Make use of it [otherwise], but do not eat it." Abd al-Jabbar ibn Umar is not used as proof; and it has been narrated from Ibn Jurayj, from Ibn Shihab likewise, but the path to him is not strong.
