أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ هُوَ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ ثنا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ فَأْرَةٍ وَقَعَتْ فِي سَمْنٍ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ جَامِدًا أُخِذَتْ وَمَا حَوْلَهَا فَأُلْقِيَتْ وَإِنْ كَانَ ذَائِبًا أَوْ مَائِعًا لَمْ يُؤْكَلْ
English Translation
Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Abdan informed us: Ahmad ibn Ubayd al-Saffar reported to us: Uthman ibn Umar al-Dabbi narrated to us: Musaddad narrated to us: Abd al-Wahid — that is, Ibn Ziyad — narrated to us: Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about a mouse that fell into ghee, and he said: "If it is solid, it is taken along with what is around it and thrown out; and if it is melted or liquid, it is not to be eaten."
