English Translation
Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Yahya ibn Mansur the judge narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Abi Talib narrated to us. And Abu Nasr ibn Qatadah informed us, Abu Amr ibn Matar informed us, Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ziyad narrated to us in the village of Hadadah. They said: Abu Kurayb narrated to us, Bakr ibn Yunus narrated to us from Musa ibn Ali ibn Rabah, from his father, from Uqbah ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Do not force your sick ones to eat and drink, for Allah feeds them and gives them drink." This is the wording of Abu Nasr's hadith, both in chain and text. Bakr ibn Yunus ibn Bukayr is the sole narrator from Musa ibn Ali, and he is munkar al-hadith (a narrator whose hadiths are rejected), as al-Bukhari stated. It was also narrated by Ali ibn Qutaybah al-Rifa'i and Muhammad ibn al-Walid al-Yashkuri from Malik from Nafi' from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) as a marfu' report, but it is baseless and has no origin from the hadith of Malik.
