أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُحِلَّتْ ذَبَائِحُ الْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى لِأَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr informed us, they said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Affan narrated to us, Yahya ibn Fudayl narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn Salih narrated to us from Simak from Ikrimah from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The slaughtered animals of the Jews and Christians were only made lawful because they believe in the Torah and the Gospel.
