حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ إِمْلَاءً أنبأ جَدِّي أَبُو عَمْرٍو يَعْنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ نُجَيْدٍ السُّلَمِيَّ أنبأ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَجِّيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ النَّبِيلُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ مِائَةَ بَدَنَةً فِيهَا جَمَلٌ لِأَبِي جَهْلِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ فِي أَنْفِهِ بَرَّةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ قَدْ مَضَى سَائِرُ طُرُقِهِ فِي آخِرِ كِتَابِ الْحَجِّ وَفِيهِ إِنْ ثَبَتَ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى جَوَازِ الذِّكْرِ فِي الْهَدَايَا وَالضَّحَايَا وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ عَاصِمٍ النَّبِيلُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أُهْدِيَ مِائَةَ بَدَنَةً فِيهَا جَمَلٌ لِأَبِي جَهْلِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ فِي أَنْفِهِ بَرَّةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ قَدْ مَضَى سَائِرُ طُرُقِهِ فِي آخِرِ كِتَابِ الْحَجِّ وَفِيهِ إِنْ ثَبَتَ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى جَوَازِ الذِّكْرِ فِي الْهَدَايَا وَالضَّحَايَا وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
English Translation
Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami narrated to us by dictation, my grandfather Abu Amr - meaning Isma'il ibn Nujayd al-Sulami - informed us, Abu Muslim al-Kajji informed us, Abu Asim al-Nabil narrated to us from Sufyan from Ibn Abi Layla from al-Hakam from Miqsam from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was gifted one hundred sacrificial camels, among them a camel that belonged to Abu Jahl ibn Hisham with a silver nose-ring in its nose. The rest of its chains have already been mentioned at the end of the Book of Hajj. If established, it contains evidence for the permissibility of male animals in gifts and sacrifices, and Allah knows best.
