وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أنبأ النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ أُكَيْمَةَ قَالَ كُنَّا فِي الْحَمَّامِ قَبْلَ الْأَضْحَى فَاطَّلَى فِيهِ أُنَاسٌ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْحَمَّامِ إِنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ يَكْرَهُ هَذَا وَيَنْهَى عَنْهُ فَلَقِيتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي هَذَا حَدِيثٌ قَدْ نُسِيَ وَتُرِكَ حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ ذَبْحٌ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَذْبَحَهُ فَإِذَا أَهَلَّ هِلَالُ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَلَا يَمَسَّ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ وَلَا ظُفُرِهِ شَيْئًا حَتَّى يُضَحِّيَ
English Translation
And Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu al-Fadl ibn Ibrahim informed us, Ahmad ibn Salamah narrated to us, Ishaq ibn Ibrahim informed us, al-Nadr ibn Shumayl informed us, Muhammad ibn Amr informed us, Umar ibn Muslim ibn Umarah ibn Ukaymah narrated to us, he said: We were in the bathhouse before the Sacrifice, and some people applied depilatory. Some people in the bathhouse said: Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab dislikes this and forbids it. So I met Sa'id ibn al-Musayyab and mentioned that to him. He said: "O nephew, this is a hadith that has been forgotten and abandoned. Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrated to me from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) who said: 'Whoever has an animal to sacrifice and intends to slaughter it, when the crescent of Dhul-Hijjah appears, let him not touch any of his hair or nails until he sacrifices.'"
