أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَدِيبُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ زَبْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ بُسْرَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَوْفَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيَّ ؓ يَقُولُ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ مِنْ أَدَمٍ فَقَالَ لِي يَا عَوْفُ اعْدُدْ سِتًّا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ مَوْتِي ثُمَّ فَتْحُ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ثُمَّ مُوتَانٌ يَأْخُذُ فِيكُمْ كَقُعَاصِ الْغَنَمِ ثُمَّ اسْتِفَاضَةُ الْمَالِ فِيكُمْ حَتَّى يُعْطَى الرَّجُلُ مِائَةَ دِينَارٍ فَيَظَلَّ سَاخِطًا ثُمَّ فِتْنَةٌ لَا تُبْقِي بَيْتًا مِنَ الْعَرَبِ إِلَّا دَخَلَتْهُ ثُمَّ هُدْنَةٌ تَكُونُ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ بَنِي الْأَصْفَرِ فَيَغْدِرُونَ فَيَأْتُونَكُمْ تَحْتَ ثَمَانِينَ غَايَةً تَحْتَ كُلِّ غَايَةٍ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ فَذَاكَرْنَا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ شَيْخًا مِنْ شُيُوخِ الْمَدِينَةِ فِي قَوْلِهِ ثُمَّ فَتْحُ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ فَقَالَ الشَّيْخُ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدٌ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَيَقُولُ مَكَانَ فَتْحِ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ عِمْرَانُ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ
English Translation
Awf ibn Malik al-Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) during the expedition of Tabuk while he was in a leather tent. He said to me: O Awf, count six signs before the Hour: my death, then the conquest of Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem), then a plague that will afflict you like the plague of sheep, then an abundance of wealth among you until a man is given a hundred dinars and remains dissatisfied, then a tribulation that will not leave any Arab household without entering it, then a truce between you and Banu al-Asfar (the Romans) who will then betray you and come against you under eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand soldiers. Al-Walid said: We mentioned this hadith to a Madinan elder regarding the words 'then the conquest of Bayt al-Maqdis,' and the elder said: Sa'id informed me from Abu Hurayrah that he used to narrate this hadith from the Messenger of Allah and say 'the building up of Bayt al-Maqdis' instead of 'the conquest of Bayt al-Maqdis.'
