أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الشَّامَاتِيُّ ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ وَأَبُو الْأَشْعَثِ قَالَا ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ؓ حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ {إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا لِيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ} [الفتح 2] مَرْجِعَهُمْ مِنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَهُمْ يُخَالِطُهُمُ الْحُزْنُ وَالْكَابَةُ وَقَدْ نُحِرَ الْهَدْيُ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيَّ آيَاتٌ هِيَ أَحَبُّ إِلِيَّ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا يَفْعَلُ اللهُ بِكَ فَمَا يَفْعَلُ بِنَا؟ قَالَ فَنَزَلَتْ {لِيُدْخِلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ} [الفتح 5] حَتَّى بَلَغَ رَأْسَ الْآيَةِ
English Translation
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: When this verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace be upon him): 'Indeed, We have given you a clear conquest, that Allah may forgive you your past and future sins' [48:1-2], upon their return from al-Hudaybiyyah while they were mixed with grief and sorrow, having slaughtered the sacrificial animals, he said: Verses have been revealed to me that are dearer to me than the entire world. They said: O Messenger of Allah, we know what Allah will do with you, but what will He do with us? Then the verse was revealed: 'That He may admit the believing men and believing women to Gardens beneath which rivers flow' [48:5], until the end of the verse.
