وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا الْوَاقِدِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ إِلَى وَادِي الْقُرَى فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي فَتْحِ وَادِي الْقُرَى قَالَ فَأَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِوَادِي الْقُرَى أَرْبَعَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَقَسَمَ مَا أَصَابَ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ بِوَادِي الْقُرَى وَتَرَكَ الْأَرْضَ وَالنَّخْلَ بِأَيْدِي يَهُودَ وَعَامَلَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا فَلَمَّا كَانَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ أَخْرَجَ يَهُودَ خَيْبَرَ وَفَدَكَ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجْ أَهْلَ تَيْمَاءَ وَوَادِي الْقُرَى؛ لِأَنَّهُمَا دَاخِلَتَانِ فِي أَرْضِ الشَّامِ وَنَرَى أَنَّ مَا دُونَ وَادِي الْقُرَى إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ حِجَازٌ وَأَنَّ مَا وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ شَامٌ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ هَذَا الْكَلَامُ الْأَخِيرُ أَظُنُّهُ مِنْ قَوْلِ الْوَاقِدِيِّ
English Translation
Abu 'Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu 'Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Asbahani narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Jahm narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, al-Waqidi narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz narrated to me from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) from Khaybar to Wadi al-Qura — and he mentioned the hadith about the conquest of Wadi al-Qura. He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stayed at Wadi al-Qura for four days and distributed what he gained among his Companions at Wadi al-Qura, and left the land and the palm trees in the hands of the Jews and made an agreement with them similar to the agreement of Khaybar.
