أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا هُدْبَةُ ثنا هَمَّامٌ ثنا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا رُفِعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَدْ سَكِرَ قَالَ فَأَمَرَ قَرِيبًا مِنْ عِشْرِينَ رَجُلًا فَجَلَدُوهُ بِالْجَرِيدِ وَالنِّعَالِ وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ وَهَذَا يُحْتَمَلُ أَنْ يَكُونَ رُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ بَعْدَمَا ذَهَبَ سُكْرُهُ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
English Translation
Anas ibn Malik narrated that a man was brought to the Prophet (peace be upon him) having become drunk. He ordered about twenty men to flog him with palm branches and sandals. This may have occurred after his intoxication had subsided.
