أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ خَمِيرَوَيْهِ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ قَالَ البيهقي ١٦٢٥٩: عن
English Translation
Narrations about the principles of judicial decision-making in Islam — judging by the Quran first, then the Sunnah, then independent reasoning (ijtihad) when no explicit text is found. The judge must be just, knowledgeable, and impartial.
