English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: A man from the tribe of Aslam came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and confessed to adultery. The Prophet (peace be upon him) turned away from him until the man testified against himself four times. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Are you insane? He said: No. He said: Are you married? He said: Yes. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered that he be stoned at the Musalla (prayer ground).
