أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ خُمَيْرَوَيْهِ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ ثنا سَعِيدٌ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي الْعَبْدِ إِذَا كَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ حُرَّةٌ فَإِنْ شَاءَ تَزَوَّجَ عَلَيْهَا الْأَمَةَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ فَلَا
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Seven will be shaded by Allah on the Day when there is no shade except His" — and among them he mentioned "a man who gives charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives."
