أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ نُذَيْرٍ أَنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ ؓ سُئِلَ أَيَسْتَأْذِنُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى وَالِدَتِهِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ رَأَيْتَ مِنْهَا مَا تَكْرَهُ وَرُوِيَ فِيهِ حَدِيثٌ مُرْسَلٌ
English Translation
Aishah narrated that the mahr of the Prophet's wives was twelve uqiyyah (ounces of silver) and a nashsh — meaning half an uqiyyah — so that was five hundred dirhams in total. This was the mahr of the wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
