وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ فِي أُمٍّ وَأُخْتٍ وَجَدٍّ لِلْأُخْتِ النِّصْفُ وَلِلْأُمِّ ثُلُثُ مَا بَقِيَ وَلِلْجَدِّ مَا بَقِيَ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us: Yahya ibn Abi Talib narrated to us: Yazid ibn Harun informed us: Sufyan narrated from Mansur from Ibrahim who said: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) ruled regarding a mother, sister, and grandfather: the sister receives half, the mother a third of the remainder, and the grandfather the rest.
