أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا وَزَيْدًا ؓ كَانَا يُوَرِّثَانِ الْقُرْبَى مِنَ الْجَدَّاتِ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us: Abu al-Abbas narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us: Rawh narrated to us: Ibn Jurayj narrated to us: Ata' informed me from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: I wanted to buy Barirah and they stipulated that the patronage would be for them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Buy her, for the patronage belongs to the one who frees.
