حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ بِثَلَاثٍ لَسْتُ بِتَارِكِهِنَّ فِي سَفَرٍ وَلَا حَضَرٍ صَوْمِ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ وَنَوْمٍ عَلَى وَتْرٍ وَرَكْعَتَيْ الضُّحَى قَالَ ثُمَّ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَ أُوهِمَ فَجَعَلَ رَكْعَتَيْ الضُّحَى لِلْغُسْلِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Sa'id told us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: "My beloved friend, Abu al-Qasim, enjoined upon me three things which I will not abandon, whether traveling or at home: fasting three days of every month, sleeping upon witr, and the two rak'ahs of Duha." He said: Then al-Hasan became confused and made the two rak'ahs of Duha refer instead to the ritual bath (ghusl) on Friday.
