حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْخَزْرَجُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ السَّعْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَيُّوبَ مَوْلًى لِعُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قِيدُ سَوْطِ أَحَدِكُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمِثْلِهَا مَعَهَا وَلَقَابُ قَوْسِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمِثْلِهَا مَعَهَا وَلَنَصِيفُ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمِثْلِهَا مَعَهَا قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ مَا النَّصِيفُ قَالَ الْخِمَارُ.
English Translation
Yunus ibn Muhammad told us: al-Khazraj ibn 'Uthman al-Sa'di told us: Abu Ayyub, freedman of 'Uthman ibn 'Affan, told us, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The space of a whip of one of you in Paradise is better than this world and all that is in it; and the space of a bow of one of you from Paradise is better than this world and all that is in it; and the veil of a woman from Paradise is better than this world and all that is in it." He said: I said: "O Abu Hurayrah, what is the nasif?" He said: "The head-covering."
