حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الرَّكْعَةِ الْأَخِيرَةِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ قَنَتَ وَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ هِشَامٍ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ عَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ اللَّهُمَّ اشْدُدْ وَطْأَتَكَ عَلَى مُضَرَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا سِنِينَ كَسِنِي يُوسُفَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام.
English Translation
'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr narrated to us, he said: Hisham narrated to us, from Yahya, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he raised his head from the last rak'ah of the closing 'Isha' prayer, would recite the qunut and say: 'O Allah, save al-Walid ibn al-Walid. O Allah, save Salamah ibn Hisham. O Allah, save 'Ayyash ibn Abi Rabi'ah. O Allah, save the oppressed believers. O Allah, be severe in Your grip upon Mudar. O Allah, make it years [of famine] like the years of Yusuf (peace be upon him).'
