حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَثَلُ الْمُجَاهِدِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ الصَّائِمِ الدَّائِمِ الْقَائِمِ الَّذِي لَا يَفْتُرُ مِنْ صِيَامٍ وَصَلَاةٍ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ.
English Translation
Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Malik informed us, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The likeness of one who strives in the way of Allah is like the one who continually fasts and continually prays, never flagging from fasting and prayer, until he returns."
