حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَعَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيَخْرُجَنَّ مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ رِجَالٌ رَغْبَةً عَنْهَا وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ.
English Translation
Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad and Ammar ibn Abi Ammar, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Men will leave Medina out of aversion to it, while Medina is better for them, if only they knew." Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ammar ibn Abi Ammar and Muhammad ibn Ziyad, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similarly.
