حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ أَوْ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ أَمَا يَخْشَى أَلَا يَخْشَى أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ رَأْسَهُ رَأْسَ حِمَارٍ أَوْ صُورَتَهُ صُورَةَ حِمَارٍ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ قَبْلَ الْإِمَامِ وَالْإِمَامُ سَاجِدٌ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Hajjaj told us: Shu'bah told us, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad, who said: I heard Abu Hurairah say: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him - Hajjaj said: or he said Abu al-Qasim said - "Does he not fear - does not one of you fear - that God might turn his head into the head of a donkey, or his form into the form of a donkey, if he raises his head before the imam while the imam is still prostrating?"
