حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ الطُّفَيْلُ وَأَصْحَابُهُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ دَوْسًا قَدْ اسْتَعْصَتْ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَأْتِ بِهِمْ.
English Translation
Waki' told us, from Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: When al-Tufayl and his companions came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: "Indeed Daws has been rebellious [refusing Islam]." He said: "O Allah, guide Daws and bring them [to me]."
