حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَلْبُ الشَّيْخِ شَابٌّ عَلَى حُبِّ اثْنَتَيْنِ جَمْعِ الْمَالِ وَطُولِ الْحَيَاةِ.
English Translation
Waki' told us, he said: Sufyan told us, from Abdullah ibn Dhakwan, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The heart of the old man remains young in love of two things: accumulating wealth and length of life."
