حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدٌ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا سَافَرَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ وَكَآبَةِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ وَسُوءِ الْمَنْظَرِ فِي الْأَهْلِ وَالْمَالِ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ اللَّهُمَّ اطْوِ لَنَا الْأَرْضَ وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا السَّفَرَ.
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn Ajlan, who said: Sa'id informed me, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), that when he traveled, he would say: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of travel, the distress of return, and the sight of misfortune in family and wealth. O Allah, You are the Companion in travel and the Guardian of the family. O Allah, fold the earth for us and make the journey easy for us."
