حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَوَى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَلْيَنْفُضْ فِرَاشَهُ بِدَاخِلَةِ إِزَارِهِ وَلْيَتَوَسَّدْ يَمِينَهُ ثُمَّ لِيَقُلْ بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّ وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ أَمْسَكْتَهَا فَارْحَمْهَا وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا حَفِظْتَ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ وَهُوَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَوَى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from Abdullah, who said: Sa'id narrated to me, from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When one of you goes to his bed, let him dust off his bed with the inside of his lower garment, and let him lie on his right side, then say: 'In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and by You I raise it. O Allah, if You take my soul, have mercy on it, and if You release it, protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.'" Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik, who is al-Harrani, narrated to us, who said: Zuhair narrated to us, who said: Ubaidullah ibn Umar narrated to us, who said: Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id narrated to me, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When one of you goes to his bed..." and mentioned the hadith.
