حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلَاثِينَ.
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from Shu'bah, who said: Muhammad ibn Ziyad narrated to us, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "Fast when you see it (the new moon) and break your fast when you see it, and if it is obscured from you, then complete the count of thirty."
