حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الْكِبْرِيَاءُ رِدَائِي وَالْعَظَمَةُ إِزَارِي فَمَنْ يُنَازِعُنِي وَاحِدَةً مِنْهُمَا أَلْقَيْتُهُ فِي جَهَنَّمَ.
English Translation
Isma'il narrated to us, Ata ibn al-Sa'ib informed us, from al-Agharr, from Abu Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah the Almighty says: 'Pride is My cloak and greatness is My garment. Whoever competes with Me in either of them, I shall cast him into Hellfire.'"
