Arabic (Original)
وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يَسُومُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ عَلَى خِطْبَتِهِ.
English Translation
And with this chain of narration, from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "A man should not make a bid over the bid of his Muslim brother, nor should he propose marriage over his proposal."
