حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ وَطَعَامُ الِاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ.
English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn Zayd, from one who heard Abu Hurayrah (report) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The food of one is enough for two, and the food of two is enough for four."
