English Translation
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The Children of Israel used to bathe naked, but the Prophet of Allah, Musa (Moses), peace be upon him, was modest and would cover himself when he bathed. They maligned him regarding a physical defect. One day, while Musa was bathing, he placed his clothes on a rock, and the rock moved away with his clothes. Musa chased it, striking it with his staff, saying: My garment, O rock! My garment, O rock! Until it brought him to a group of the Children of Israel, and it stopped in their midst. Musa took his clothes, and they looked and saw that he was the finest of people in physique and form. The Children of Israel said: May Allah fight the slanderers of the Children of Israel! And that was the vindication with which Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, cleared him."
